Steam Daily Deal (05/15/12): Mini Ninjas
2012/05/15
Today is a day for deals and one of my biggest surprises of this generation is today's daily deal on Steam. The game full of surprises is Mini Ninjas , an action adventure game with beautiful cel-shaded visuals and boatloads of charm. You may look at the Mini Ninjas and think it's for kids—I kind of did at first—but doing so would be a mistake as the game is, like everything Skylanders , much more fun than it has any right to be.
Mini Ninjas lets you take control of a handful of ninjas—who just so happen to be quite little, one could even call them mini—and then beat the snot out of enemies until a dark puff of smoke appears and a single animal is freed, Sonic style! There's more to the game than just freeing animals, but anything I'd say is nowhere near as influential as your own opinion, which can be made by downloading the demo and trying the game yourself. Regardless, I highly recommend the game for people of all ages and at $3.74, it's hard to argue against Mini Ninjas , a surprisingly fun, cute little game. When I think about it, Mini Ninjas is one of the best ninja games in years, so act fast before the game returns to full price tomorrow, May 16, at 12pm CST.

Xbox LIVE Microsoft Studios Publisher Sale: 05/15 - 05/21/12
2012/05/15
In addition to the usual Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week,' there is also a Microsoft Studios publisher sale and, even better, it's open to all members, not just Gold members. The sale is full of DLC, XBLA games, avatar items, themes, and all that expected jazz at 50% off. The sale does contain a lot of repeats, but there are some games/content on sale for the first time—some gems like Trenched (screw calling it Iron Brigade ) and Worms: Ultimate Mayhem —and it's worth checking the complete list for something that may tickle your fancy. A link to said list can be found below, along with a few links for games I personally recommend, games you should already own.

(Individual links can be found with you clicking "to read more," satisfying good ol' click-whores.)
Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week' for 05/15 - 05/21/12
2012/05/15
This week's Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week' is a nice surprise with numerous XBLA Kinect games— some repeat deals and some cherry poppers. If you're a fan of Kinect you're probably a happy camper right now, but those who hate Kinect may hate this week's deals more than the constant rehashes of the past few weeks. Before I shut my trap and let you get to the deals, let me just recommend Leedmees once again as an interesting Kinect game worth checking out; just know it's a game requiring a decent amount of space, even compared to other Kinect games.
To get the games and whatnot, go straight to the Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week' page by clicking THIS , or enjoy individual links with a little bit of clickity-clickage.
Save and Save Often in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
2012/05/14
Minecraft on the Xbox 360 is the popular girl in school right now and even I managed to get sucked in despite owning the PC version and knowing the XBLA version is a year-old build. I love building whatever I want with no set goals and the tension caused by the potential loss of hours of work from a creeper exploding, sending lava or water flooding throughout my ADHD-created mine; it keeps the game exciting. What doesn't keep the game exciting, however, is losing hours and hours of work because the game kicked me to the main menu.
I was indeed kicked and it might as well been a kick to the balls, my blocky, pixelated balls. At first I thought all was well as the game claims to autosave whenever a certain icon pops on screen, but I learned the hard way that the autosave system is either a lie or broken. Hopefully this little problem will be patched and patched soon, but until then, I recommend you save and save often if you're one of the million people already playing Minecraft on the Xbox 360.
Free Meat Friday: Minecraft (XBLA)
2012/05/11
The "free meat" prize today is a copy of Minecraft on Xbox LIVE Arcade. You've probably heard many things about Minecraft on PC, confusing things, things that leave you wondering what all the hubbub is about. Well, Minecraft is basically the unofficial Lego game you...maybe wanted? I love Legos and I have grown into a fan of Minecraft after my initial, "What the fluff am I supposed to be doing?!" moment. The game takes a little time to comprehend, but if you like the idea of a giant sandbox with no real goals, Minecraft is just for you.
All that said, Minecraft on XBLA is a solid version of its PC brother, but it's an older version—about a year older—and whether or not it gets updated fast and often is up in the air. (Hopefully the developer's sentiment in this article is true.) What the XBLA version lacks will only bother those familiar with the PC version and, either way, Minecraft on XBLA is still a fun version of the game, whether you're playing alone or with friends over Xbox LIVE (or split-screen if you can get it to work ). I will now shut up and let you get the juicy details on how you can win a copy of Minecraft on XBLA! (Details on how to enter and all that jazz can be found with clickage.)

PixelJunk Anniversary Blowout Sale; Ends May 15
2012/05/10
Q-Games just turned ten years old—which shocks me like a taser to my naughty bits—and in celebration, they're having a PixelJunk anniversary sale now on PSN until May 15, 2012. The sale includes all PixelJunk games with some as cheap as $1 and the rest at $4.99. The PixelJunk series of games in various genres are still, to this day, some of the best PSN games available. It's hard to believe every PS3 gamer doesn't own at least one PixelJunk game, but I know that's true and many haven't experienced the joy of junk* made with pixels. With this sale, you no longer have an excuse as you can pick up some great game without spending much coin. Do it and find out what you've been missing this whole time. The full list of games and prices can be found below.
PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap - $1
PixelJunk Monsters - $1
PixelJunk Eden - $1
PixelJunk Shooter - $1
PixelJunk Shooter 2 - $4.99

Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week' for 05/08 - 05/14/12
2012/05/08
This week's Xbox LIVE 'Deal of the Week' is about all things Clancy and ain't too fancy. Most, if not all of these pieces of DLC/etc have been on sale before so this week's deal may be meaningless to you, but the deals aren't bad if you're new to the console or just late to the party. It's a bit annoying to see repeat deals so often, but c'est la vie; life is cruel, treat you unfairly. Even so, a God there must be; 360, you complete me. (Extra points if you get the reference.) Anyway, all the deals and whatnot can be found below—they're all 50% off except for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory —and here's to hoping the next few weeks bring fresh and tasty new deals.
Pixelated Radio 30: The Dead Trials of Fez's Wrath
2012/05/05
The newest episode of Pixelated Radio is finally here and perfect to listen through the headphones you wear. It's number thirty and things get a little dirty. We talk about Fez and never mention Simon Sez. I'm rhyming for no reason, but tis the season; I'm really, really white, but you don't give a shite. We talk about games and so much more; and we don't charge a thing like a typical whore. I'll get to the details and stop this crap now; I don't know what's come over me, but wow...just wow.
In this episode we don't rhyme at all, so feel free to thank me right now. We covered a lot due to missing a scheduled show, but the show flows rather well and is quite good me thinks. We've been playing games of many shapes and sizes and saw a surprisingly large number of movies. We cover some old news—like the Rayman Legends leak and the future of digital releases for Wii U and 3DS—and end on a typical weird note. The games and whatnot we discuss, you ask? Check 'em with a little clickage if you're seeing this.
Free Meat Friday: Borderlands: Game of the Year (Steam)
2012/05/05
The "free meat" prize today is a copy of Borderlands: Game of the Year on Steam. You've surely heard plenty about Borderlands 2 as it's only months away now from its September release; well, Borderlands may be old and about to be "replaced," but it's still a damn fine game and a must-play if you still haven't, for whatever reason, played it. And the "Game of the Year" edition is extra lovely as it comes with all four DLC packs, so the borders of this game's land are much larger than originally planned. (That was an awful play on words with dumb rhyming, but you don't care because I'm giving shit away.)
All you have to do to enter is click THIS and then click "Retweet." -- Make sure you follow me, @Kush3 , so I can DM you with details if a winner is you. Otherwise, a winner is who? Seriously though, a failure to follow simple instructions can turn a potential winner into one of many "losers." And if you'd like a second entree to double your chances, leave a comment on any post during the duration of the giveaway and you'll be entered twice in this here giveaway. You-all have until Sunday (05/06/12) at 12PM CST to enter due to the now common later-than-usual start and the winner will be contacted soon after.

Pixelated Radio Episode 30 Delayed a Few Days
2012/05/02
After missing a show due to schedule conflicts and technical difficulties, we did manage to record a show at our usual time—a pretty good show I must say—but said show will be a few days late because I suck and have been extremely busy with just two days left in good ol' college. I refuse to post an unedited show or a minimally edited show, but I will try and get it out tomorrow; if not, the show will go up on Friday Saturday. (I underestimated the craziness of my last two days of class, which included an unexpected visit from a lovely police officer.) I do apologize, but seeing that this site is 100% free and college isn't, I think I'm making the smart decision by putting school first. If you want to pay me more than my tuition I will gladly edit the show first, just click the little donate button to your left and I'll shove my sausage all up in my school's face.
